The software works by installing itself as a sub-system of your existing printer. Therefore, almost any document you have saved on can be turned into a PDF. Of course, because the software is installed on your printer the document must be printable for the system to work.
The service is completely free and allows users to make PDFs that are not stamped with watermarks or logos. You can add your own later if you choose, but you will be able to use the service without worry of having another brand’s logo on your professional documents.
CutePDF writer requires a converter to be installed to enable it to create PDFs. The recommend service is Ghostscript, which must be downloaded separately before any PDFs can be made. However, you can use another converting piece of software if you choose, although bear in mind that the service is optimized to work with Ghostscript so you may encounter problems with another converter.
